Guilt just comes with being a writer -- or is it being a woman? It takes a while to respect the creative process... I'm really not there yet. I rail against the feast and famine of it. The feast part is a hassle too because, you know, kids need to eat lunch and toilets must be cleaned occasionally, all of which is really distracting when you'd rather be writing. :) I know, right? I've been feeling really bad that I haven't been working on my novel, but you're right - writers do need to have something to write about. Sometimes we just need to live.
