Thanks Rebecca, I hope so, too. It certainly made me think. In fact, I felt a bit reminiscent of the trip I made as a teenager to the Dachau concentration camp. That’s one great benefit of fiction, to remind us of (even uncomfortable) truths.

Great review, Amber! Thanks for sharing. I hope people come away from this film questioning what they consider as entertainment. I hope they question why our society enjoys so much wealth and comfort while others do not. Most of all, I hope they realize what atrocities can happen when we stop seeing other people as people just like ourselves.

I actually loved the voldemort Draco hug. Thought it said a lot. So awkward and fake. In fact, I thought it illustrated voldemort’s inability to even ACT caring.

I loved loved loved this movie. Have seen it several times already and never tire of it. By FAR the best in the series.

Cars 2 was probably made so they could sell more toys. Cars merchandise is HUGE for Disney.

Tangled, on the other hand, kind of grew on me. The first time I saw it the plot structure bothered me, but once I got over that it charmed me more and more with each viewing.

So I’m interested to see your thoughts on that last Harry Potter film. E-mail me or something when you get the post up.

Also, if you end up loving it and get desperate for more… and if you don’t mind aliens as a premise, you might try Roswell, which is a sort of homage (though not as good) to MSCL. Enjoy!
